school term starting soon...

Its been a month since I last blog about my life. Many good things have happened in the course of 1 month. My research has finally come to an end. Today, i finished my report and is ready to submit it. Phew, its over. There are so many things that i want to blog about in my life. A week ago, I was with my family at the Singapore Flyer. It was a great great experience on board the region's tallest ferris wheel. The Singapore Flyer oversees Singapore and the scenery was definitely fabulous. However, the price of the ticket is abit too steep. haha. Last weekend, I was at Palau Ubin with my friends. Guess what? I finally mastered the skill of cycling. Haha. After so many years, I can cycle. I was put on the test after learning to cycle on the challenging terrain at Palau Ubin. It definitely reinforced my skills. I wanna thank my friends for teaching and encouraging me while learning. Another skill which i learnt this holiday is roller-blading. I was with my cg at East Coast for skating. I would like to thank my cg for teaching me blading. It was a real good experience to learn it. I could imagine myself blading on my own with ease at East Coast Park enjoying the sea breeze. Indeed too many things have happened in the course of one month.

School is about to start in a week time. Time flies, it was just like yesterday when the holiday begins. This three months has been a fruitful but busy time. So many things happened. I am now officially a year 2 student. School work is definitely going to be heavier but I am going to rise above all these because I know God is always with me wherever I go whatever I do. I will work harder to improve my results. School term is going to be exciting. In the new school term, I have the following goals:

1) Have a great attitude. Don't complain about circumstances but change circumstances for the better.

2) Improve my GPA.

3) Have a good start for my business.

4) Know more friends in school.

5) Join a ministry and start serving again.

6) Reach out to more friends.

7) Improve my relationships with friends and family members.

21 Days of Prayer

Personally, I am so blessed by the 21 Days of Prayer. I really believe that my prayer life and my relationship with God has definitely gone up another level. For the past week, I have been waking up early to join pst to pray in church. Its really a blessing to be able to seek the face of God in such early morning. The whole experience is just fantastic. Every morning, everyone of us has been building our own altar before God in prayer. I can feel the tangible presence of God in the auditorium. I am now committed to waking up early to pray. Seeking God at the beginning of any work definitely empowers, refreshes and charges me up. I yearn to stay in the presence of God everyday of my life. Prayer builds our relationship with God. What's the key to breakthrough? I believe its prayer. I told myself that I do not just want to stay a normal christian but I can to be someone who prays and things will begin to happen. Wouldn't it be great if we can pray and our prayers be answered by God? Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Truly, our lives are built on the foundation of prayer. Prayer is powerful. I want to depend on God and not on circumstances confronting me. Prayer can guides me through this journey of life. I simply just want to be in God's presence 24/7.

Camp X

Faith that Unites

last weekend in church, we met 3 finnish. they were on a holiday trip to singapore. it was nice meeting them coz they were friendly and we shared the same faith. after service, we brought them to the local kopitiam to have dinner. yes, they enjoyed the singaporean local cuisine. we chatted for like 2 hrs and we got to know some of their culture and finland. we feel so at hme with each other. we were laughing abt 1 of them cos he resembles tom cruise. they will be gg to KL and then to bangkok next. anyway, we had a good time together at the kopitiam. rarely, we get to meet foreigner in our own circle of friends but belonging to a church has changed that. cos its like one common faith uniting people from across different landscapes and cultures together.

camp X

recently, i have been busy in the lab and studying for an external exam. yea, went for Camp X (Xtraordinary, Xcellence, Xciting) this week. it was held at changi moe adventure campsite. the campsite has scenery overseeing the sea. it was a fun and exciting camp. personally, i feel that this year's camp is much better than the previous. we did rafting, team games and of course cheers. it feels like it was so many years ago when i first did rafting. haha. i was one of the team leader in conqueror house. conqueror is the best house. anyway, i enjoyed this camp very much. i feel session 2 of the camp was the most inspiring. it was about manhood and how manhood can change the world. overall, it was a great experience in the camp and getting to know more friends from WYZ zone. upcoming weeks, i m going to start planning for my timetable for sem 1, studying for external exam and hoping to find time to chill out with friends.

summer holiday

well...its been 1 month into the summer holiday. nothing really exciting happens. i have been working in the lab for 1 month already. doing reactions , numerous nmr and countless of column. life in the lab has been getting rather mundane. recently, has been spending more time with fellow cg members. watching movie, kboxing and shopping. not forgetting the time we spent at ben and jerry having the ultra vermonster ice-cream. its really great to have the company of great people. yesterday, we had a sport outreach, weekee joined us for a game of badminton. actually, we didn't really get to play much because there were many participants. however, i believe its a time well spent to get to know each other. 2 weeks ago, i met up with my fellow sec sch friends. happy to know that they are all doing well. spent a fruitful time having dinner and catching up at starbuck. really looking forward to meeting up with them again. 2 more months to go...haha

Week 2

It is week two of semester 2. Isn't it fast? Haha. I am still not in my 'study mode' yet. I guess for me I would need a while to really get my 'engine' starting to run. Lolx. One good thing about this semester is that I didn't doze off during lectures.

Guess what? I got a french tutor for my maths. Attended his tutorial yesterday, didn't pick up anything/ Its a waste of time seriously. For the whole tutorial, he was talking to himself and I simply don't understand him at all. I decided that I will crash other tutorial class from now.

This morning, I went to the gym at SRC. Surprisingly, the gym is very small and not very equipped. Anyway, spent 2hrs there. I went for 2.4km run too. Its time well spent there. Now, my body is aching. Got to exercise more. Lolx.

In the afternoon, went shopping with justin at orchard. I think we went to basically all the world of sports outlets around orchard, but didn't managed to find the shoe. Then, we went the zara at Liat tower. Its my first time there, the outlet is big and have a wider variety of choices compared to other outlets. Tried a few shirts and eventually got one. Haha. Feel so satisfied today. :)

Training in progress

In a month time, I will be taking my first IPPT after I ord. It is filled with both excitement and fear. Since ord, I had not been exercising as often except running. Also, partly beacause this will be my first time taking IPPT as a NS men. Sounds old? Haha. I have 5 stations (2.4km run, Pull-ups, SBJ, Shuttle Run and Sit-ups) to clear for IPPT. My worse station is the SBJ (Standing Broad Jump). I never seems to be able to jump far. Just because of one station, I got a pass instead of silver for my last IPPT. I really hope to do well in this year IPPT and not having to go for RT training.

Currently, I planned to run three times a week and to train at the gym twice a week. I hope that all these training will improve my performance four weeks from now. I started my plan on Monday and has been going well. I hope I won't give up and I would persevere on.

'If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.'

This statement is so true. With ample time for training, I am aiming for a silver in this IPPT. Wish me all the best. :)

@ Orchard

Heyz, today I was at orchard with my mum. Met up with mummy at Shaw house Isetan. Everywhere is having post new year sale, but the items are not very nice. Anywhere, my mum bought a shirt at Isetan. Haha. Went to Wisma Food Republic. Had lunch there. We had fried prawn noodle, beef noodle and my favourite fried prawn cracker. Then, we went shopping around at Wisma. I saw a nice wallet and wanted to buy for my sis. Knowing that she is very choosy, I won't risk to buy it lest she don't use it. Hehe. At Wisma basement, I spotted a Citibank Biometric Kiosk, so I went to register my card for the biometirc function. I was awarded with a free iced latte from Starbucks by Citibank. Starbucks is actually my favourite cafe because they serve nice coffee. My favourites are latte and mocha. Now, I can make payment without my card but only with my index finger. Isn't that cool when you go shopping. Literally, I won't even need to bring my wallet everywhere. I think in near future, most of our daily activities will revolve around Biometric Technology. It is a powerful tool. People around the world are using Biometric Technology for identification purposes.

Next, I went to AX at Takashimaya and saw a nice belt. However, it cost 119 dollars. Still thinking of whether to buy it or not. Then, I went over to Heeren to redeem my Heeren Card. Heeren Card can get discount. Yea, more shopping. Went to a shop that sells vintage shirts, didn't got anything there. Home sweet home from there.

That's what friends are for

And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe I love you

And if I should ever go away
Well then close your eyes and try
To feel the way we do today
And then if you can remember

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

School starting soon...

Counting down to semester two. 96 hrs to semester two. I am having mixed feelings about it. Looking forward to meet new people in school and catching up with friends. Feeling reluctant to go for lectures and tutorials. Semester two is definitely going to be busy because I am going to take 7 modules. It is stretching my capacity to do more things. I believe I can do it. I hope that semester two will be a great semester for me. Need to really sit down and do some planning for now for the new year.

Looking forward to a great and victorious year ahead. :)

BBQ w Mango OG

Its a fun but tiring day. Went out early to buy ingredients with Chris & San San @ Ten Mile Junction. Then, went to San San house to cook bee hoon and prepare BBQ food. Had fun cooking bee hoon for first time. Turned out to be quite nice. Now, I can cook bee hoon. Haha. So cool rite? Actually, I liked cooking but don't really like preparing. Looking forward to cooking my next dish. After cooking, took cab with Kelvin, Chris & San San to Downtown East. Met up with the rest. After we settled down, we went to arcade for games. It has been ages since I last stepped into an arcade. Was playing my favourite game Time Crisis 4. Then, we went to get more stuffs for BBQ. Had a fun time during BBQ. Its definitely time well spent for catching up before school starts. Thanks Chris and Feroz for organising. :)

That's all folks. Be sure to catch my next post.
